Assignment 3: Literature Review for DNP Clinical Problem Matrix and Scholarly Paper:
The student will conduct a scientific literature review using various web-based search engines, develop a literature matrix, and
write a scholarly paper that provides a brief summary of the literature found that addresses the DNP clinical problem.
Assignment Criteria:
Develop a scholarly paper that addresses the following criteria:
1. Develop and write a problem statement for the identified DNP clinical problem.
2. Develop and a purpose statement for the identified DNP clinical problem.
3. Discuss the purpose of the identified DNP clinical problem.
4. Discuss the search criteria used to locate the journal articles including databases, keywords
5. Identify and define potential variables or concepts for the identified DNP clinical problem found in the literature review.
6. Locate 10 professional peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles to support the identified DNP Clinical practice problem
(review in Ulrich Periodical Directory) that are less than five (5) years old.
7. Create a table to help formulate a scholarly literature matrix (see Modules/Week 3 for a matrix template)
8. The scholarly paper should be a brief overview of the literature, relating those articles to the identified DNP clinical problem.
9. Include an introductory paragraph, purpose statement, and a conclusion.
10. Attach the literature matrix as an appendix to the above scholarly paper.
11. Write the paper in third person, not first person (meaning do not use ‘we’ or ‘I’) and in a scholarly manner. To clarify: I, we,
you, me, our may not be used. In addition, describing yourself as the researcher or the author should not be used.
12. APA format required (attention to spelling/grammar, a title page, a reference page, and in-text citations).
13. Submit the assignment to Turnitin prior to the final submission, review the originality report, and make any needed changes.
14. Submit by the posted due date.
