For this assignment, I’d like for you to talk about beta-amyloid in Alzheimer’s diseases. What happens when the beta-amyloid goes wrong in Alzheimer’s disease.

I want you to write a short paper (5 pages without references) describing:

1. How things normally go
2. A documented example of something going wrong
3. What is happening on the molecular and cellular level?
4. How does the thing that’s gone wrong affect the organism?
5. Feel free to include any interesting facts (for example, any historical figures with the mutation? How did they figure it out?)

Points 1-4 are the main things to address in your paper. Number 5 is there to remind you that sometimes there are interesting facts or a human angle that can engage you more with the topics. It’s not required by any means, but I find those kinds of things make writing or presenting more fun.

Make sure to cite your references properly! And make sure your references are legitimate references.
