Writing Question
Learning Goal: I’m working on a writing question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Select one article about an environmental science topic that interests you. The article must be from a reliable source. I highly recommend using sources such as Science Daily, National
Geographic, Discovery, Live Science, Scientific American, etc. Blogs, Wikipedia, and online encyclopedia entries are not acceptable sources. If you are unsure if the source is reliable, contact me for clarification.
You must submit a typed review of the article, including a paragraph detailing your opinion of the article. The source should be referenced using APA format. The paper should be 1-2 pages in length and use Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced. The Hot Topic assignment will be worth 100 points or 20% of your final grade. I would highly recommend contacting the Writing Center on campus.
If the article is not written properly, meaning proper English and grammar OR I cannot understand/follow the write-up it will receive a zero!!! ANY paper that is found to be plagiarized will receive a zero!!! Be aware that your paper will be submitted in Canvas using the Turnitin program. This program compares your writing to papers previously submitted by students, published articles, and website information. It will determine if you paper is copied from another source.
